    Hey guys,

    Ive been noticing lately a "tapping" sound inside my cab. It seems its coming from the passenger side seatbelt area. The best way to describe it is tapping. Most noticeable when riding over bumps.

    From what i can tell these Tacos are prone to ratlles in the cab. all four of my seatbelts rattle, as well as the passengers side dash/glove box. Also noise from the rear end (maybe the bed) when goin over bumps!

    I have tapping coming from the driver side seat belt I think. Is the dealership required to fix this if I am under warranty?

    My passenger side seatbelt rattles sometimes, usually when I have the windows down but its winter now so that never happens. It took me 2 1/2 weeks to find the clips for the rear seatbelts haha.

    they are on the double cab, there are plastic clips to hold the seat belts and keep them from rattling.

    its not the seatbelt itself thats making the "tapping", i think it may be coming from the panel behind the seatbelt? anyone else notice this?

    And yes, this is the second noise i came across in the truck, kinda annoying. Fixed the first now on to this one

    As the seatbelts move up and down... the little cover plastic piece on my drivers will rattle a bit with some base on the radio.... not always though.

    Turn up the radio. Rattles and spilled milk are similar.

    Hey Ive noticed the same thing driver side faint tap underneath the panel covering the seatbelt attachment site. Ive debated about tearing into it and looking for anything out of the ordinary. Have you had any luck with anything?

    If I find something Ill let you know.

    Only tapping sound I've noticed is when the unused passenger side seat belt gets turned around so that the metal piece is tapping against the side of the cab. They have that little pad on the side to keep it from normally tapping. I flip the belt around the way it's supposed to be and it's quiet as can be.

    Never heard anything behind the panel.

    I have the same tapping sound but in the drivers rear corner, behind the seatbelt mecanism panel; Its been 3 days in the stealership and they have found nothing;
    They´ve removed the rear seat, seatbelt and luggage panels and the tapping sound is still there!:mad: maybe is not from the inside, but from the suspension or truck bed.
    Does anyone have an idea of waht could it be?

    Thanks!

    Same thing here...and it rattles against that plastic pad even when buckle is straight. I bought some cheap carpet stair treads (with sticky backs), cut two to size and attached them to the pad. No rattle, no interference, no problem.

    ****I discovered the problem (Access Cab only).**** The problem for me was behind the drivers side behind the upper seatbelt attachment. I haven't figured out the fix but when I have some time I will fix and let you know. The tapping is coming from the cable end cap for the the rear door on my access cab. This is the cable that opens the top latch. The cable or other parts have loosened up and cause the cap to move around making this tapping noise. It is very noticable because its right next to my ear. Pulled the rear door cover off for a rear speaker upgrade and investigated this noise as well. I put some electrical tape over the cap at the top for a temp fix for now. When I get some time I will try to fix. Let me know if this is what you all hear and if you come up with a fix.
