got a sg II for xmas. I CANT GET OUT OF THE FRIGGIN SLOW LANE!! it just shows how much gas you save from dropping from 80 mph to 55. in two tanks of gas i have brought my mpg avg up about 2.5 mpg. i know that it is common sense that if you dont fly your gonna get better milage, but this kinda puts it right in your face. definatly recommend it for any lead foots out there. ps. i was surprised how little of a difference 4H made for milage on the HWY(lots of snow up north here)

It is definitly true, these trucks lose mileage very drastically at higher speeds. I have to agree about the 4WD usage not affecting mileage much. But the drag from the 4WD system is always there; it seems the 2WD trucks are capable of much better mileage generally speaking.

Jester - seems to be less than 1 mpg

i would say that i lost about 1 mph keeping it in 4H going around 45 mph. had it in 4H for my entire 1.5 hour commute and still got 22.5 or so mpg. off the subject a little bit but the vsc(vehicle stability control) worked like a charm in the high snow on the highway. it has to make up for the crap tires(dunlop) they gave us.
