I used Mineral Spirits, a buddy who does pin striping on cars/bikes has used it for years and I always keep a can around the house. I then used rubbing compound then waxed the area. Looks great!
    Good luck

I think he means to wax after because it will take some off? I didnt wax after and no problems. But to be on the safe side it wont hurt to do so.

mostly just use common sense....don't let the stuff just run all over the side of the truck and leave it there to eat paint for lunch.

I picked off the big chunks and then used Bug and Tar remover which does not strip wax and works great and you dont have the stress of the goo gone becoming paint gone!

If u get the emblem off and there are still big chunks of glue on the truck just take your finger and rub the glue and it will all roll up and than u can pull it off. Once u get all the big stuff take some goo gone or whatever u choose and go to town. Just wash and wax the area after.

WOW the 99% of the gooey tape easily came off with my fingernails.

WD40 works great at removing leftover adhesive.
