you cant... unless you were getting super swampers. Most go with a 18" or 20" wheel wrapped in a 305/75(80)/ R18(20)

You can't fit 16" wheels with a 6" lift period. I remember reading something rubs with that size rim.. and btw Lents you CAN get tires made for 35s on 16s... just sayin.

You have a 17" rim? You're fine, I'm not sure I think with spacers you would be fine. But don't hold me too that

Does the rim size matter as long as there is enough backspacing?

I almost positive theres a limit. Super Swampers and Mud Dawgs are the only ones that I know of that offer those type sizes... You wouldnt see Toyo OP ATs, BFG MT KM2, GY Wrangler MTs in those sizes anytime soon.

in a 305/75(80)/R16 configuration

I think it matters. Ask some of the guys on here running a 6" lift.. they can tell you better than I can.. But you should always have a less BS than stock. Thats just going to happen from a Aftermarket wheel. You try to want all the specs to be in an equal state... have a mid point for everything

If it primary going to be for on-road applications I think you would be just fine.

I was looking at moto metal 951's, they offer 16x9 and 17x9, both have a 4.5 backspace, wouldn't that be enough w/o spacers?

4.5- 5.00 BS should be in the range for a 6" lift. Fabtech should have the recommended tire/ wheel sizes on their website

I have a 3" lift, so not too familiar w/ the specifics of a 6" , Just figured if it worked for 3 it'd probably work w/ a 6

I not either. I have a 3" lift as well. and 4.5" BS is probably most ideal. for both lift kits.
