Rearview mirror seems a little low?

When you first got your Tacoma did you feel like the rearview mirror was a little too low on the windshield? I'm getting used to it but at first it felt like it was in the middle of my windshield and kind of in my way. Definitely lower than where the mirror was in my previous truck (GMC).

I was going to post that I had the same problem, and was even considering removing the mirror and re-gluing higher on the windshield when i moved it while trying to take it off.

Long story short, it's adjustable.

OK, so I looked at my mirror and it doesn't look like there's a way to adjust it. It's a 2010 with the auto-dimming feature, not a manual mirror. There was no pivots or any way to adjust it or push it up any further that I could see.

 

I feel the same way. The mirror seems like it's always in the way.
I will be getting a new windshield here when winter ends and I plan on gluing the metal piece a little further up as seen here....

 

my Rearview mirror is the only thing i dont care for on my truck..im 6'5" and that damn mirror is right in my view, but i am going to do what Fritz did , and move that thing up!

 

the mirror is in the right spot.......... it is the combination of the seat hight and roof line that puts the mirror in the way. I am only 5'8" and it is in my way to always feel the need to duck or lean to look around it but getting use to it.

 

Same problem for me, I just shove the mirror as high up as I can and adjust from there. Better, but not totally out of the way.

 

I agree, I am 6foot2 and it is the high seats along with the low roof in front that brings the mirror too far down, even after adjusting the pivots as stated in the other thread. But to me it is not quite dangerous so I live with it. Maybe someday if bored I will glue another mount higher up like the other poster described (and thanks for the pics by the way).
