Stant for 6 months with no problems. Make sure it clicks several times when you tighten it back on. Just turning it to the first click will lead to problems.

Take it back and get it exchanged. Might just be a bad one.

I just got the Stant 11509 and this thing is cheap. As I understand it the 2nd gen Taco's have a screen somewhere in there that will prevent gas thieves from getting a hose into the tank. I will still use it to keep any angry ex's from sugar'n my tank.

How is a screen going to stop sugar or anything else?

no, not that bad anymore I have been married for 4 years now. If I left my wife she would take my truck just to spite me and all the money, kid, support, 401(k), well everything. I do have some crazy ex's but my wife protects me from the evil people.

Screen will only keep the hose out of my tank, the locking cap will keep the crazy biches out! I think the screen serves to keep large objects from getting in your tank ie. pebbles, skittles etc.

Now I don't know if there is even a screen there but I seem to remember a post that said there was one. If I find it I will post a link.

Gotcha, I misread your post. There is some screen or something in there that will prevent a hose from getting in there.
