Sorry if this has been discussed already but I also wanted to say Hello everyone, I am new to this forum.

I am looking to buy a 2010 magnetic gray sr5, 4dr, 4x4 in Northern Ca. I called a broker to see what kind of pricing they can do. They told me they stop making 4dr 4x4 and there are only 4 left anywhere!!!

I hate when someone pisses down my back and tells me its rainning!

Is this true or are they full of it?

I am sure you could go to a Toyota dealer and factory order the model you want. But as far as I can tell on the Toyota.com site you can still price a 2010 Double cab 4x4 sr5. The TRD is more popular and you see more of those around.

Tacoma's of any sort are very rare at the dealerships in NorCal right now. My San Jose dealer had to get my truck all the way from a Sacramento dealer in December. If I wanted white, they would have had to get it from Reno.

I was told it was due to the Fremont plant closing, but I don't know the details or how truthful that is, but it is true that they're becoming harder and harder to find in stock around here.

Thats true! Good point...they are closing the Fremont California plant because they are combining Tacoma's with the Tundra factory. So there may be a big gap in production and availablity for a few months.

Thank you all for replies. I figured but just wanted to check. It makes sense that supply is limited because of Numi closing.

I was looking to buy this same exact truck as you described at the end of November as it was listed for sale on Craigslist by a dealer at Putnam Toyota in Burlingame. I called and set up an appointment to see the truck the next day and, when I got there, he said it sold the night before.

He looked around the immediate SF Bay Area and the only 2010 Double Cab 4WD he could find was in Timberland Green, so I passed. I ended-up settling for a 2010 DC PreRunner (TRD OR) in Pyrite Mica from Stevens Creek Toyota instead. Would have been nice to have the 4WD though...

ToyoTaco10, I'm also a new forum member and looking to buy a 09 or 10 AccessCab 4WD I4 Manual in NorCal. I was surprised to see how few trucks are in stock at the 'local' dealers. It appears that there are more trucks in Petaluma and Santa Rosa.

I am curious if this lack of inventory is contributing to the decline in Toyota truck sales. ("total Toyota light truck sales were 660,973 units down 23.1% from the same period last year." -RTT)

I thought the Magnetic Grays only came in TRD packages?

And Toyota would be a bunch of idiots if they're not going to make anymore double cab 4x4s.

I bought my last two trucks there and I will never buy another vehicle from them. However their service department is awesome!
