Thanks for the replys ya'll. I didn't want a 4banger, I didn't even want a taco. (I came from a Powerstroke) But my dad had this truck and it was too good of a deal to pass up.

With that said, Im gonna run 265's on the truck. I want the Hankook or Km2 tires. With some kind of wheels.

BTW, What is a TSB??? And bilistine 5100's will level my truck??? if so that's pretty sweet deal.

This truck will be my daily driver, And will see mud and trails every now and then, We don't really have trails around Houston. BUt When I go install a Septic system, I do need 4x4 to get around on the job.

Thanks again ya'll, Also don't forget to tell me what a TSB is...

Use the search function above, and search "rear suspension TSB". TSB stands for technical service bulletin--one step down from a factory recall... Toyota will retrofit your suspension due to high volume of customer complaints--but read lots of threads to know what you're getting into.

Ok I did the search, On this forum and another. Im sorry I guess im not understanding the TSB suspension. But from what ive read, Without it (TSB) your truck rides rough??? So is the TSB suposed to fix my truck to ride right??? also dose it lift it at all. Sorry ya'll, Im not getting it. I used the search function and found alot, BUt reads all the same.

really doesn't have anything to do with ride quality, rather load capacity in the rear. People complained about the crappy leaf springs, so Toyota said they would add one leaf to the pack. So instead of a 3 leaf pack, you get a 4 leaf pack, which then means you have the rear spring TSB performed.

...well, it does affect the ride a bit--becomes stiffer when not carrying any weight back there, and in my experience, tends to want to be a bit more 'skippy' at higher speeds when cornering over bumps. But really, it just makes it ride like a truck, and I'm guessing that most of us don't mind that......

Well, Ive decided. Im gonna get the TSB done, Get the 265's Hankook or Km2. And the 5100's. But the 5100's are a lil steep on their price. Also can you paint the alum. Wheels??? if so that will save me a ton.

I don't think painting the aluminum wheels is a very good idea. Research that one a lot. As for the 5100s, shop downsouthmotorsports.com and they'll give you a discount for being a TW member. They're a good company.

i got a 2.7 too. i put a 3inch lift and 16x8 with some 265/75 16 and my gas mileage dropped to about 19mpg compared to 22mpg. i wish i stayed with the stock size which is 245's. i took out my tailgate and gained back almost half a mpg
