Anyone have these step bars?

Found on E-bay. Was wondering if anyone here have them and if so, how do you like them? Price does not seem bad especially w/free shipping

When I purchased my step bars I was told to look for one thing. How many supports are on the bar? Two or three? The dealer said (who knows this could all be horse shat as it was coming from the dealer) that if you only have 2 supports the bar could sag over time with the repeated use. I have three that attach to my truck and they are very sturdy. It made sense to me at the time.

 

what brand do you have? I assume that you got them from the dealer? How do you like them...also, any pics? Thanks

 

Ya know, not really sure on the brand as it was through the dealer. I have some pics in the member section and you can see them there. I love em!

 

I would think that on an AccessCab you would only need two..?

 

You would think due to the short span, but I have three. If i ever gain 200+lbs I'll be all set!

 

I have them on my 2007 Crew cab. They are well worth the price. I weigh 250 and stood on them and they don't bend. Bar also has lifetime warranty.

 

I see these on other taco owners majority of them were male owners. if you look at my diva truck well i'll let you make that choice. so if you're the off road type these nerf bars are a good deal and it will complement your truck. hope this helps

I recently added some Westin chrome nerf bars. They look great against the black truck. I actually do use them all the time, as I am on the petite side. Had black ones on my old taco (which was hunter green), so I missed not having them when I got the new one. They also have a lifetime guarantee, so I think they are a pretty good brand.

 

Did you get a good deal on them? What kind of price range are we looking at here?

 

In retrospect, I think I could've found them for less on E-Bay, but they weren't too bad.. about $300 including shipping. E-Bay has some great deals; I just ordered some new rims/tires for my truck. They are basically the rims and tires that come on a truck with the TRD off-road package. I am not happy with the stock wheels/tires that my truck has now (there is nothing wrong with them, I just don't like the way they look). I should get them sometime next week, so I am looking forward to that. They cost about what new tires alone would've been, and they've only been used about 10 miles.

 

Sounds like you got a deal on the rims. OEM parts from the dealership tend to be pricey. I am going to have to keep my eyes open for some bars. Thanks for the info.

 

The only good thing about buying add-ons from the dealer is that the warranty on your truck also applies to any add-ons. Well, at least in Maine it does. So 5yr warranty on your truck means 5yrs on your step bars.

 

Same warranty applies in MN.

I was offered 2 brands, I think the 1st was Westin. But I bought what they said was factory 'cause it's the wider oval.

 

I went with the stainless steel westins, and paid 310 for them. I think they look great, but they took some getting use to when getting in and out. Putting them on was no big deal, but the instuctions sucked. I'm currently looking at bull bars now. I'll probley stick with westin, but does anyone have any suggestions?

 

The Westin Bull Bar is a great add-on. Check mine out. It is also very easy to install. Most instructions say you have to remove your skid plate and tow hooks but with the new hardware you don't.

i have manic step bars but the are mounted so close to the truck they are hard to use i cant fit my foot on them another thing i wanted to bring to your att is if you go mudding be carefull when you get out the mud on the bars gets all over your pants
