There's a lot of stuff folks do to vehicles that just make me wonder.

its all good. My 88 mustang had dual exhaust that was dumped just like yours. Maybe i can shorten mine. Does it give it a deeper tone?

But the rest of the stuff in exhaust isn't. Does the carbon monoxide magically partition out of the exhaust, and only the CO makes it into the cab?

Not really. It's a slightly different tone, mostly because the sound is directed towards the ground now and resonates off of it, but not much deeper.

^ its not right under the cab there is still alot of room, and Im and never in stop and go traffic so it does not matter, how often do you really just sit there and idle for long periods at a time? And either way its still far from the cab. I dont see it as a problem unless its right under the cab, alot of people dump there exhaust with turn downs ect.. JMO.

ftr ive had my exhaust cut for awhile...around 2 years...ive never passed out or gotten co poisoning, nor did my spare catch fire

this is a very popular mod around the offroad community as it tucks the exhaust outlet up a bit higher and out of the way thus helping prevent it getting smashed shut or filled with mud/water

The place we are cutting the exhaust pipes is still under the bed- not the cab. There is no chance of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. There is a good distance from the pipe turning down under the truck and pointing toward the ground, and the ground. I know its your opinion, and this is mine- but you are just simply wrong. No one is falling out from having their pipes cut and turned down AFTER the axle. There are thousands and thousands of people around the US doing this check every offroad forum and I have not heard on ANY of them of ANYONE falling out from CM Poisoning. But I appreciate your input.
