I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Yea I dont know about Chasis saver. I went with what Toyota recommends for body work for Land Cruisers. they have specs as what kind of primer and paint to be used. Its not perfect but it should work at least as long as he rust inhibitors are active. After that paint should deteriorate and I am gonna repaint again. Unless the frame recall comes first.

I've heard good stuff about chassis saver, made by magnet paints. I plan on cleaning the shit outta my frame in the spring and putting chassis saver on with some type of topcoat. I got tired of Toyota basically telling me to fuck off, so now its all up to me especially since my warranty is gone. My 07' is rusting in spots, i live on a peninsula surrounded by rivers, and the atlantic ocean. Needless to say salt is pretty prevalent. Anyway heres the link to the stuff:

Steel needs air to rust no air no rust .
Rust proofing seals out air ... it will work . Has nothing to do with rust inhibitors
    Good luck with your troubles

Cheap steel has imperfections in it and will rust through. Nothing can be done to stop this except to use better steels

For those of you that want to know precise details about the improvements to the 2009 frames you can see my post in this thread here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...hat-hell-flexy-frame-means-2.html#post1216488 There was nothing said about rust proofing the frame. All the improvements were for safety and structural integrity.

I feel bad for those that have frames rusting. I bought some 3M undercoating and used it in select places on my '09. If you read the can ingredients...it has asphalt in it. LOL
