So i've been looking around at some different grilles lately getting ideas on what to do. I really don't like chrome so billet is no go. I like the style of the grillecraft grille, but dont want to drop $175+. I figured i could make something work myself.

My question is, has anyone done their own DIY grille? I figured i would just get some mesh from home depot and work it to fit, but i and a little confised about mounting the mesh to the grille. I would love to do that satoshi grille, but im not too handy with fiberglass lol.

Any pics anyone has or info would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't heard of anyone doing a grillcraft type grill. You will have to mount it like the grillcraft, unless you want to start messing with fiberglass. It shouldn't be too difficult, if you have some welding ability to put a thin border around the edge.

I'll keep you in mind...I have a grillcraft that I haven't installed. I might be selling it for what I paid. (~$120) because I might do the deep dish grill.

I want it, if you are really selling it and I said it first, unless you have someone you know already it's committed to.

Pat actually PM'd me earlier, but like I told Pat, I'm not selling it yet. I'm a ways away. It's actually a backup grill in case I screw up the deep set grill.

Well it doesnt have to be exactly like grille craft. And i dont have access to a welder, so i was thinking maybe just fold the mesh in and get some screws and washers to hold it in. I'm just looking for some ideas as to what othersd have done on the 05+. Im saving up for my coilovers, so any non neccessary expense [i.e. grillecraft] i would like to avoid unless i can do it myself for some pocket change like the BHLM.
