Talk abt embarassing. Got stuck at church tonite

So tonite im leaving from youth group to go home and it sure didnt go as planned. We have youth in this trailer right near our church so i drove my truck down this small not very steep hill. A couple days ago we had some rain but i didnt think it was enough to worry abt. But of course when i go to leave, sure i enough i get stuck trying to drive up the little hill. I was so embarrassed and eventually the people there had to push me out. It really really sucks not having 4WD. I cant complain too much since my dad did buy me this awesome truck, but i know in the future ill never buy a 2WD truck, ive learned my lesson! haha, just wanted to share that with yall tonite haha. im sure im gonna catch hell for it haha

 

Momentum is your friend. Also... using the brakes and the LSD can help out too...

 

yeah thats how i got out. they pushed me back onto some pavement and i just used momentum to get thru it. but do the 05s have LSD? for some reason i thought that wasnt available on the Sport models until a few years after the 05?

just read that the 05-08 have mechanical LSD

 

^^Don't forget to change your diff oil every 30k miles

 

With mechanical LSD's, you can modulate brake pressure to help transfer power to the wheel with traction...

That situation would have been good practice for such a technique...

 

Well, the only way you learn is through failure right? You learn the limits of your truck, etc by trying new things
At least you know that a 4x4 is in your future!

 

well i dont really know hardly anything abt lsd or how to use it to my advantage using the brake and what not, as you can all tell haha. but yeah i cant wait to get 4WD. Not having 4WD is whats holding me back from sinking money into my truck, because i know im gonna get rid of it years from now so i can get a 4WD and do some wheelin!

 

haha i wish dude. im still in high school, so im bettin i wont get another truck till after i graduate college

I could not have said it better. But then again, if the mud is deep enough it will stop you dead even if your doing 60.

 

yea all it took was one time with my old truck and i vowed never again to buy a non 4x4 truck.

 

It was nice on new years when I started sliding on a wet hill to be able to put it in 4hi and crawl right out without even spinning. Sorry, had to...
