Just called the dealership and told me that everything should be fine... they've been selling 08 tacomas with the same off road and tow package and no complaints so far... the dealership manager just got one like mine and said he has no problems towing his boat... which he says is pretty big..

Also keep in mind that, depending on the dealer, they are going to tell you whatever is in their best interest. TSB work ties up their shop, takes man hours, and corporate reimburses them at a lower rate than what they could be getting for regular service work. Most will see that it makes more sense for them to tell you, "no problems, no fix needed" so that they can keep the bay open for the old lady behind you who needs the oil topped off for $90/hr.

Note though, that there's several folks here who say they don't have problems either - test things out for yourself.

It's not shown in the list in the first post but it is included at the download site. I can't edit the original post.

Not sure if this one had been added. If you have the "groaning/vibration" only in reverse. Had it done on my 08

TSB EG5035 Air Intake Hose Rattle

Part no. 17882-0P010

HTH some of you.

Just bought 08 Off road package and tow package should I call the dealership and have the springs check!! I'll be doing some long towing next week!

leaf springs on one side. If there are 3 springs you'll need the TSB, if you're going to haul considerable loads.

Just had my 08' TRD Off-Road done. One thing I did not know was that if you have the TRD Off-Road, you will not need the new shocks. They replaced the complete spring stack and did an alignment on the front and rear of the truck.

You call it TSB EG5035 but the link is to EG046-06. EG046-06 is already on the list. Is there a TSB EG5035?

I have an '07 w/ 7k. Will they do the suspension TSB for me? The truck has a lift kit. Any other TSBs I should request? Thank you.

your truck is probably eligible, but with the lift, they'll probably deny it. you can always ask though.

No TSB for me. I'm not really sure I needed it anyways. I only need to load a few hundred pounds in there at most and have not noticed any droop. Oh well.

Am I too late?

Hello all!

I just purchased a 2005 PreRunner 4 cyl. 5 spd. w/37k miles.

My question is am I too late to get the TSB suspension work done?

I just went and checked and sure enough...3 springs.

You can call and ask Newtstaco however it is only covered under the factory warranty. Good Luck.

Thanks, but since buying my Smart car on June 30th, I haven't been driving the truck much-maybe one a week to Costco and once a month to Home Depot. So I am sitting pretty at 21,000 miles for an 07 and still under the 36k warranty, so I will do the TSB in a few weeks. Thanks for the warning

just got home from the dealer, where they performed the driveline vibration TSB on my 08. The problem is still there. they said thats all they could do since the truck is lifted and the driveline angle has been altered. They didn't even test drive the truck after they installed the new mount, just gave me the keys and said here you go!!BS. I also had the tires rotated and balanced. I also asked about the harsh ride and they said since the 08's not included on the TSB theres nothing they could do about it. Even though i pointed out that the parts on my truck matched the part numbers on the TSB. again BS. They replied that none of the 08's have had this problem until mine, they had a service tech jump up and down on the back and said there was no issue, all 150#'s of one guy( I hope a tacoma can handle one person in the bed). this doesn't even come close to what a tacoma should be able to handle. Guess i need to call toyota or wait for the 08 to be added, or maybe find a new dealership. This is not what i expected when i bought my toyota!!!
