I keep coming across performance chips on ebay and auto sites. What are they and how could they help our trucks...if there is such a thing for our trucks. At the risk of sounding like a fool...what's the deal? I have read a lot of posts and never seen you guys talking about them. What are your thoughts?

RIP to my 08 Prerunner DC
I have heard they don't work or have very minimal effect.

Good action...Thanks I figured if it was a good investment I would have seen more threads on them. Figured I throw it out to get perspective.

The cheap ones are a resistor that forces your engine to run open loop all the time- Gives you a bit different feel but doesn't really do anything.

Get a URD Maf Calibrator, or an APR X-1, and/or a supercharger.
