Had considered a toneau. Glad I went with the topper.

He used 2 clamps that looked as if they had a rubber insert that went into the rail then he added two more that he cut down (must have been wrong clamp). I made him put in two more in front but he used those cut-down ones. He said he didn't like the one with the rubber insert. Do yours have a rubber piece that goes into the rails? I am thinking on putting a piece of aluminum channel down the sides so there will not be so much stress at the point where the clamp is and a more distributed load.

Looks are nice but also like the functionality. The Century Ultra seems to fit well as others do also.

Wait until I finish the install of the antennas, I have racks for the cap top and will be installing a small square antenna in the rack and a bigger 3 inch diameter antenna in the left rear. Have a trailer hitch mount for it now but too cold and wet to drag the cable to the antenna so I will be changing the way I am mounting the antenna when it dries up a bit around here.

I'll try to take a picture of mine later today but my clamps are black aluminum with silver alloy carriers that slide into the bed rails. No rubber at all. Sounds like the dealer used a cheap or incorrect kit.

I think it looks good. I wish I could go with a shell instead of my toneau. Just afraid that out here in L.A. it would be too easy to steal all my tools with glass windows on a shell. Oh well, yours looks good.

My wife hated mine at first as well. She thought it looked like a "Grandpa Truck"! I think it looks Bad Ass, but more important is that it is functional as hell. In a month we are spending 11 days Camping in Canada. I bet she likes it then!
