dumb question

This may be a dumb question but what makes a toyota a TRD? Is it just if you put the TRD performance parts on it (meaning is it just a brand) or is there a specific model that is TRD? and a SR5 is just more features, right? Thanks for the patience to respond to this..

TRD- Toyota Racing Development. Different suspension, springs, interior. SR5 means upgraded interior package.

 

I wouldn't say SR5 only means upgraded interior package. Many things in the SR5 package are exterior (not as many now as in '05 though). My SR5 has the LSD...in addition to things like fog lights (exterior).
