Loading a refrigerator on the bed

Hi all, since im still new in all of this, i was wondering how can you load safely a mid size refrigerator in the short bed taco, this will be the first "big" thing i will load in the bed, so im a little bit concerned about how to assure it to the bed, i have d rings near the tail gate, and some accessories for the side rails.... are those safe?, it reads maximum pull load 220lbs, can the side rails actually hold that? any recommendations are welcome....

definitely keep the refrigerator UPRIGHT......otherwise, it could really mess up the workings of the fridge.

 

Also another consideration, i´ve read that the tailgate is not that strong in earlier models, does the 08 tg is still weak? i think i better take it off while load/unload....

 

They are right. The compressor in the fridge (black round thing on bottom) is mounted internally on support posts and turning it on it's side can knock it off. If you have to move one that way then after you move it allow it to stand upright for 24 hrs to get the oil back down into the compressor
