Question About Front Spring Replacement

- My TRD Sport double cab is getting the AAL TSB today.
- I've got Bilstein 5100s (front and rear) on the way.

My plan was to set the front Bilsteins at 1.75" to raise and level the truck.

I have read others have used Eibach 1.6" springs to effectively raise the trucks front end (instead of the Bilsteins) and set the Bilsteins at the zero lift setting. The claim is this results in a better ride and handling over stock. A set of Eibach 1.6" springs don't cost much. The installation is not bad and I'm going to need a good 4 wheel alignment anyway.

Obviously I don't know what I don't know.
- Are there any downsides to going ahead and buying and installing the Eibach 1.6" springs?
- Would springs change driveline or suspension geometry enough to cause maintenance or wear problems downstream?

I know I need a spring compressor and will have to detach the lower ball joints.
- Is there anything else in the way of parts or materials I should have avialable when I do the job?
- Any surprises I should be prepared for or tricks I should know about?
