What do you guys think? I found this at a local junk yard, it was in a 98 Tacoma.

I'm in the air about this one... It takes up a lot of bed space, if I were to keep it, I'd probably cut and redo the back bars, maybe even add some reverse lights on it...

"Show bar" (or light bar) does not equal a roll bar. Use it for looks, to hold lights, or whatever, but don't expect any protection from it in the event of a rollover.

It's admittedly a minor thing but I don't want people getting the wrong idea. Thin wall tubing buckle in an accident and won't protect the occupants.

What, you think bolting it to a plastic bed, it won't help in a roll over?

Hit the tube with a hammer and tell me what happens. Even attached directly to the frame you'll need substantial thick-wall tubing to provide any kind of protection.

Yeah, I understand that it's only for looks...

It fits weirdly perfect. It mounts right up to the bed and top of the wheel wells.

It has 3 light tabs, 4" tubing, not too heavy, but seems solid.

I'm just a little concerned about having the rear bars come so far into the bed, I like the way toyotadude5's looks.

I figure if I were to ever "Roll" my truck, I'd have some serious damage, regardless of having a roll bar or not...
