Use to work at a very well know shop for injectors and modifying them and the only cleaning worth while is pulling the injectors and getting them ultra sonicly cleaned and flow matched

I run a bottle of Techron or STP fuel injector cleaner through my truck at every oil change. I figure it can't hurt and it's not very expensive.

What costco sell is different than the ones u buy from a Auto parts store, costcos verison is a much weaker formula.

I bought a box and found out later on, because the price was too good to be true.

My old accord was rough idling a bit. Dropped a can of seafoam in, along with a tank of ethanol free gas and its been fine since. I always run E free when available. Stuff isn't any good for engines.

FYI seafoam has zero of the necessary ingredient to remove the gummy buildup of gas.. it will however clean up carbon on the upper cylinder.

Gumout with Regain or Red Line SI-1 injector cleaners have the highest concentrate of the proper ingredient (sorry forgot the name) to actually break down the gummy build up of gas on injectors. I did quite a bit of research a while back when i had 2 cylinders running lean on my boat due to gas sitting in the injectors for a long time without running. 2 bottles of Gumout with regain cleared the issue up right away.

That's when they play the "sorry, insurance doesn't allow customers in the shop area" card.
