I get a sudden leap forward or "lurch" when I have stopped for more than a few seconds with my foot on the brake the truck will try and jump forward. I came to the conclusion that the truck Idle is remaining high and when it finally drops into first it will lurch, jump, leap...etc...

are all these people fucking retarded... if you damn vehicle lurches or surges SHIFT TO NEUTRAL! don't pound on the damn brakes. After you are in neutral (which take all of .35 sec) slam on the brakes or carefully navigate to the side of the road. You car/truck can't do shit w/o the transmission engaged.

I'm sorry about all the poor ppl who have died but damn... SHIFT to NEUTRAL.

I'm starting to think this is some sort of conspiracy from the government. I still won't buy a "American" truck.

Oh no problems here, unless caused by me

This one time I was sitting in my truck and it was raining. Truck was on and in neutral, then all of a sudden it started moving forward! Looked down, made sure I was in N. Then it hit me..automatic carwash.

Yes. It happened. Not a lurching or sudden unintended acceleration. I floored it hard and fast to pass another vehicle. Got out of throttle and truck kept accelerating. Stabbed at brakes and then throttle before I finally hooked my foot under accelerator and pulled it up. Posted on here about it just after. Called 800 number dealer test drove and zip tied mat. Hasn't happened since. Yet.
