lexan plastic mud flaps

bought a sheet of lexan plastic. for some custom clear mud flaps.
if it looks good ill keep them on. if the look like shit ill toss them in the trash and only be out 25 bucks. ill post pics when i get the finished up!!!

 

keep us posted, i know some of bigger tire guys wanted lower profile ones

 

im gonna take my time and try to make these look good im hoping to get them on the truck by tuesday before the law man writes me an 65 dollar ticket

Looks interesting. Can't wait to see them installed. They wont be clear for long. HAHA

 

Will those not just break when they drag in the mud or get snow and ice on them or even from rocks hitting them?

 

Lexan is really strong, it can take a good beating. How thick is the stuff your using Grizzbear?

 

The problem with our current flaps are they hang down too far and are too stiff so they scrape on anything taller then a squirrel turd, I don't see how this is going to improve the worthless design that we already have

But, depending on the length....perhaps clearance for rabbit turds could be achieved?

I wish I had the old-style rubber woven mesh thingies I had on previous Toyota pick ups! But...........I am curious as to how these will mount and perform!

 

length 14" X width 14"X 3/8 thick and they say its 250 times stronger than glass.

Not sure. Hard to tell from the pics...I guess I'd have to see them in person...but...I probably won't make the trip. Are they flexible? My concern would be that they might crack in the cold.

Need a pic further back. So you can see both at the same time.. Like youre driving behind tou.

 

Wouldn't they fog up or get a haze to 'em after a while?

 

+1 for innovation, not sure how theyll hold up as in hazing and scratching... i think soft rubber would be the key for our trucks
