Same here. All I have to say is that my truck, while not problem free, has had the least problems of any new vehicle I've owned.

Yup, I've had two and the only problem I've had was my 4x4 got fucked but that's because I apparently only unlocked one of them manual hubs before getting back on the road.

Big difference between a complaint and a problem. I can complain, for example, that my truck has no locking fuel door. But that is certainly not a problem. So I stand by my statement...thus far...a year into ownership, I've had ZERO problems with my truck...not a squeek, not a rattle, not a hic-cup of any kind.

If telling the truth makes me "full of shit"...then I must really stink.

Because I LOVE driving it so much!!! (I actually get about 20mph on the hwy)
HTH are you guys getting that kind of fuel mileage? Another poster on this thread said he regularly drove 80 mph and got over 20.
So far the mpg is the ONLY gripe I have about this 2010 TRDOR truck. Once I got 19 by putting it in neutral and coasting down the hills and not driving over 50. But driving 55-65 I do not get over 17.5 and driving 70-75 I only get 16. The Ford v8's get around 15; this v6 mid-size truck should regularly get 20 plus; so what are you doing to get that?

But I bring this up for a reason. I was listening to Morning Edition on the way to work this morning....hey, not much else on at 5 a.m. (no flaming). Anyway the host asked one of their investigative reporters what the actual odds of this happening to someone were. He said when looking at all 2000 complaints, whether pedals or floormats, verses the total number of vehicles effected by the recall...you were 30 times more likely to be struck by lighting than to have a pedal stick!

However they were quick to say that if it happened to you it would be scarey, but that ultimately these are extremely rare cases.

Also in that same story, they mentioned that both Honda and Ford had complaints of unintended accleration...and apparently Ford has had quite a few in recent years. Interesting that we're not hearing much of that.
Exactly, you have to figure out how many of those are morons who can't drive and are looking for a payday. Once you knock those out you could end up with 10 who had real problems. The whole thing is complete bullshit in my opinion.

I kind of fit that profile but I'm not a troll. I'm a longtime member of ST-N and Ride The Rock.

I posted rants in both forums about a mechanical failure I recently had and the treatment I received from the local dealer and Toyota Canada. Someone on RTR posted a link to this site.

Maybe there are trolls but maybe some people are finding the site through legitimate recommendations/searches...

This is the true issue. It's not that a product has a problem but it is how it is addressed. There will always be someone that has a bad experience. It is impossible to satisfy everyone and to mass produce an automobile with thousands of parts that are integrated to work together and not have issues.

x2 dexterdog couldnt have put it better myself. There is no possible way any vehicle producer can keep a constantly perfect vehicle out the gate but you can be damn sure they will address and fix any problem they have made, need proof watch the news.

I love my Tacoma, there are a few things i would change.....
but that involves extra cash

I also love my Ford....mustang (96)...it is still running hard with 140k on it.

All vehicles had issues but its part of life.
