As you can see from my post count I’m a big-time lurker. I must say that there are way too many problems with Tacoma’s to consider the truck a good purchase. My transmission does not shift right, never has and according to my dealership never will. My gas mileage completely sucks; my prerunner is completely stock except for the FJ trail team wheels I bought off of ebay. The interior of the truck is lackluster at best. I haven’t had a load in my bed but from what I’ve read threes a good chance Ill bottom out. My 6 disc radio (non jbl) freezes up and displays random characters at least twice a week. I’ve also read that there appears to be a rust problem with the undercarriage as well. The list goes on and on. A Tacoma has always been my dream truck and now that I have it I wish I wouldn’t have. Sorry guys just needed to vent. Not to mention the resale or trade in value of our trucks will suffer big time with all that’s going on.

    New truck....so nothing yet
Sorry that you feel that way and have had such as hard time with it. I have a 2006 Tacoma TRD Double Cab with 108,000 miles and it runs like it is brand new. I adore my truck. I have a 3" life with 285/17/17 on 17x9 ATX "Vice" wheels and I am still getting around 18mph. Other than normal wear and tear my truck is perfect. I will buy another someday but I intend to run this one til the doors fall off!!

Its just a casuality, but lately we have a lot of "lurkers" with a lot of Tacoma problems, sounds strange to me....

The op has a "prerunner" he doesn't specify what year, model, color, etc etc. and he doesn't has any pictures in his gallery...mmmmhh

    so Troll..... go away....

This guy does sound like one of the many "pile on" types running around lately.

    Wurd.

Coming up on two years with my Taco and haven't had one problem that I didn't cause. If I had to do it all over again knowing what I do today, I'd buy another in a heartbeat. Bet if you posted a poll here, 99% would agree with me.

actually everything i brought up has been brought up several times by other members, so i dont think its just my truck. whats up with people on forums. if someones opinion differs from the masses their labeled as a troll. grow up. the truck has problems and we all know. im sorry if you have a 400 dollar payment on a truck with multiple problems.

Its just seems odd to me, since the floor mat recall, we got a lot of low post count users, with lots and lots of problems, also no pictures or much info on their model, color, etc.....

    just saying....
