Checking out a potential new truck : Good Deal?

Look at it like this... They are gonna make money on your trade as well as the truck your buying from them!

 

I would definately buy a new one if it were not for the fact that I have a TRD S/C and APR X-1 sitting here and the X-1 wont fit an 09+

The X has been for sale locally for about 2 months now. The truck is put back to stock ready for a trade ( so I got a nice chunk of cash from parting it).

Which is why I am not in a huge hurry. if I trade, I trade. if it sells, it sells

If this is mechanically sound and I can talk them down for the cosmetic defects, I am not that concerned. I am going to pull it apart and change 90% of it anyway

but the price has to be right

so somewhere between 21-22 seems to be a good target

Do you know if it's had the diff. and transfer case oil changed? It's also due for plugs! Wich if you put your blower on it then you won't want the stock replacements anywho! Maybe they'll throw in some iridium plugs in the deal!

 

Just got my mint 2007 AC TRD Sport SR5 with 33k for 22,000. It's Certified PRe-owned and bone stock. Got one barely noticeable dent on the rear bumper. About 500 miles so far and haven't found anything wrong yet.

 

I will ask for the 30K be done anyway

I have iridiums for it already

whichever truck that I find will be 350 hp within a month once I find time to bolt these parts back on.

 

originally they were asking for 20,500 and i offered 18,500 so we met in the middle right at 19,500

 

what were they asking for it if you dont mind me asking?

I dont really care for their price. I am trying to narrow down my target to shoot for

if they cant meet it, I can find one elsewhere and they know that

I am leaning toward going it at 21 and seeing where we land and they work the trade into it

I have good equity in the X so my overall payments in the end should drop

plus with it being CPO, it is eligible for new car financing

we will see, if I am not happy, I will keep looking

yeah

thats a good price you got considering what I have been looking around at

hell I have found a few 08 Dcabs with around 15K on them and they are asking 29 for them .... ouch

yikes! thats a steep price for a used. yes thats low miles but really? that basically the same price as a new

 

new TRD Dcab 4x4 goes for about 30,500 at employee price OTD

I was looking at them, but i have some go fast parts that wont fit

haha if you dont mind me asking what kind of parts are you talking about?

 

I just bought a 2009 tacoma wiht 7600 miles for 27,500. And its in PRISTINE shape. I believe that you can get a better price on the tacoma.
