Ok, I just got a job that I have to travel 80 miles +/- a day and I want to protect the front of my truck from rocks, bugs, ect..
Does anybody have or know about the "clear bras" for the front bumper and the hood ?

Ditto with what Doc Holiday says!

I am having Ventureshield added this wed. My truck has been sitting in my garage since Feb 3rd. I won't drive it until I have the ventureshield installed. It keeps the front end perfect. You will spend about $400-500 to have it installed. Had the wifes 04 Accord done. still looks perfect. No road scars, marks or tattoos! :D By the way, have your headlights done also.... use a little plexis plastic cleaner/polish and your in biz.

Just make sure and ask if they use a plotter to cut the film you def dont want them free hand cutting on your truck!

I've thought about this to, but was wondering if over the years that the covered area will not "age" as much as the uncovered area. You know, making it look like the covered part has been repainted, a bit unbalanced.

Any long-time experience here to confirm or deny?

I see what your saying. I have not seen any aging difference between the paint and the 3m material.

Paint on new cars and trucks is thin and chips if you look at it the wrong way. Especially Tundras.

    Here is my experience with the clear bra so far;

07 Tundra. And three years later it still looks perfect. no road rash
04 Accord Exv6. still looks perfect. no road rash
This morning this will be installed on my 2010 Taco 4x4 longbed.
All front end painted areas, which includes hood area, bumper, painted trim under headlights, the actual headlights, side of fenders and mirrors.
Its a little on the spendy side $400-500, but when I think of what a repainting a bumper or hood costs it seems worth it to me.

The real challenge is finding the right excellent installer who will stand by his work. I use and installer here in Charlotte, NC who does great work and has been installing a long time. Hope this helps.

In my experience with the film, there has been no difference in the paint colors.

Had Ventureshield installed today on my 2010 Tacoma. The installer did a perfect job. He even added some extra venture shield to the windshield pillars so they are also protected. The kit went on flawlessly probably due to the fact my installer has a decade of experience. I will try and post pics. The material is so clear that its hard to see in a photo.

I would highly reccomend Venture Shield if you plan on keeping your truck and want to keep the paint looking great.

Would really like to see a close up photo of your chip/damage. Can you post a pic BROKE??

Testing the material strenght, I could not even push a car key through the material on a scrap piece the installer handed me yesterday. The material (ventureshield) will stretch 6 times its original size.

Your chip or paint blemish maybe under the material. Pics please?

Here is a pic of the clear bra (ventureshield) on the front of my new Tacoma. Not a great pic, but the only way I could capture the seam of the material. Its very hard to see where it stops and starts. The application came out perfect. Entire front bumper, as you see partial hood, You can barely see it on the headlights, both windshield pillars, side of fenders. The installer was cool with me watching. I would not even begin to attempt applying this stuff. The kit is $$$ if things go south during the install. I use Plexus to keep it clean and polished. For what its worth... the pryite mica is a funny color, somtimes gray, sometimes bronze, sometimes brown. I like it.
