Was interested in hearing if longbed double cabs have less vibrations issiues because of the longer wheelbase and less driveline angles when lifted.I have driven many new trucks all models and have noticed less vibs and take off shudder with longbeds.

Good question. I was thinking about this the other night when ordering my lift. I wasnt sure if I should go with 3 or 2.5 degree shims because of the longer drivline, which would make the angles different. Would the fact that the height being changed over a longer distance make it less likely to get vibes or more?

shims......? I have the OME 3" on my DC Longbed and it seems to have a slit rub/vib feel when turning.

what set up for the rear did you get? I ordered the OME springs, so we'll see what happens with the 2.75" or so of lift I get.

I'm not putting top plate spacers on right away, chris says the new 885's will give a full 3" up front, I'm not sure on whether or not I want to remove one of the leafs or put them all in.

i have 2.5 icons upfront and 3" all pro rear suspension kit and i've had zero vibes, the only issues i had was going form A/T's to MT's and got rubbing issues that i had to fix. Prior to this i had the OME 3" lift and also had zero vibe issues. My front is set up to 2.75" and my back is 3". All the pictures that have my black XD series rims have this set up if you want to take a look, the rake isn't really noticeable at all. I have 4x4 so i can't crank up my front to 3"

    Stuff...
I have had my lift on for almost 5,000 miles, (Icon set at 2.75", TC UCA's, toytec AAL, 5100's) I don't have any vibes at all. I just started getting a very low growl or slight clunk when backing up, but no vibes. It goes away when I start going forward, seems like it's coming from the passenger wheel well, (wheels are teflon chambers and BFG AT 285/75/16) I will look into it when I have the time.

    Hope that helps

i'd say less, it looks level to me, you can't tell the front is off .25 of an inch, its not enough of a difference, i thought there'd be some rake getting the AP 3" set up in back and was hesitant to even get it for this reason, i was surprised when i didn't see any noticeable rake after the install though

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
I'v e got an effective 2.5+ inch OME lift on my 07 Access cab and put in then took off the 1/2in shim kit for the driveline. Have no issues with shaking, shimmy, noise or vibrations at all. It's perfect, better then the stock setup in every way.

Your best bet is to attempt to troubleshoot vibrations after you have them, so you know what you're trying to fix.

    1) Extend the brake lines. I did this and although not necessary I recommend it. Steel lines will improve braking response/feel.

    2) Rear Axle Shims to stop any potential vibration. Put them in and everything was fine, took them out and same thing. Left them out.

    3) DriveShaft carrier drop in conjunction with the Shims. Yes, I put in a front diff drop 1/2in shim. I think it'll help take some strain off the front axle angles and maybe save my IFS some wear and tear?
