Ha! see I totally had it all planned out! Anyone know what I would be looking at cost wise for just the rear locker plus labor, and gearing? I need to do more research.

both. You can take your truck there or just do a core swap with your 3rd and you get back the new 3rd with installed locker or gears or both.

I've got ARB front and rear.

Had them done by East Coast Gear. Also had it re-geared at the same time. Can't beat their price or warranty.

If you're getting a locker in both diffs, you might as well go ahead and re-gear for your bigger tires.

Sweet! If you don't mind me asking, how much was it for all of that? I want to do that, but without the front. I'd like to get an idea on price.
    Thanks!

It's about $1300 per diff + air compressor.

Thanks guys, so about $1300 plus regear cost. I'll probably give these guys a call, I'm about 3 hours away from them.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
In case thats missed. If you re gear your rear diff you going have to regear front as well.
Now if you have 4.10 already then its not big deal but if you running 3.73 then I believe you need to swap front diff to one that comes with 4.10.

Yea, I am running the stock gears. I need to just call them, I knew about the front, I forgot to ask about that. I'll just call, and let you guys know the quote if anyone is interested.

I've got a whole thread going on this. ATRAC kicks ass in my opinion. It is easily the best for IFS. (No thread jacking intended)

IMO, if you need a front locker, you need to either do a SAS or buy a cheap rig that already has a solid front axle.

CV's are already the weak link. You lock them and they're going to be blowing up like the 4th of July.

No, all of the 2nd gen V6 Tacomas have 3.73s.
Only the 4cyl 4x4 and PreRunners have 4.10s

A smart driver can accomplish even more with a lot.

If you're a smart driver, you'll have no problem keeping your stock CV axles intact. Also, with a front locker you'll be able to take hard obstacles with less speed and have less damage.
