    Mine's not stiff at all.

but what will get it stiff is more the springs than the shocks... I run custom alcans and they are smooth.

Reviving this thread due to it being over 3 years old. I am looking for current feedback.

I am thinking of getting ICONs front and rear with TC UCAs and custom AlCAN leaves.

Fox's quality are garbage. I bought a pair of fox shocks and not even a year later, it looked like they had been in use for six plus years. My Icons on the other hand were on my rig for 6 years and they still looked and performed better than the fox's did.

I went fox because I wanted progressive valving, no regrets.

For what it's worth my rear is butter smooth like a cloud with no weight in the bed.

I've read numerous complaints about Icon customer service and how their a small outfit. I've never owned a pair so I have no performance input.

I've got fox with resi's in the front and without in the back. I'd say you can't really go wrong with either brand but personally would get shocks with resi in the back too. Mines a litttle stiff

So Icons have the CVC valve (compression damping control) option, have these been mentioned here, or do you guys/gals know what I'm referring too? Think Fox offers the same thing. So i read here in older postings that some mention that the rear shocks--Icons--have a stiffer feel, especially with an empty bed; I wonder with the CVC option if it would help with any stiffness issues...

FOX DSC only stiffens ride, the softest position is like without DSC adjusters, maybe same thing in ICON CVC valve.

I got kings as well. NO RAGRETS...on a serious note for anyone looking between Icon and fox, understand that fox is progressive where it gets stiffer at speed while Icon is digressive and starts out stiff and gets softer. It never ceases to amaze me how many guys dont even know about this before buying them. Digressive alone turned me away from Icon, but I prefer a cushy ride regardless of speed.
