air compressor in bed of truck

    is there air compressors that will work with the outlet in the bed of the truck

    The only one I've found is a Craftsman Model # 75117.

    How much do you need in the way of CFM? I'd think a 12v job and small tank would be the way to go.

    Most portable compressors are 12v DC.

    Even the smallest 120V ac compressors (2 HP, 10 amp, 5 gal) will draw over 1200 watts, which is way more than the AC outlet will allow.

    It doesn't say how many amps it draws. You need to know the amps or watts to know if the inverter in the tacoma has enough power.

    The compressor I mentioned above is a 120 volt Craftsman model which draws 3.3 amps which equates to 396 watts using the formula, watts = amps x volts.
