I've never had a vehicle do this to me before.

I know she's a she. But she hasn't told me her name yet!

Every other car I've ever owned...and its a LOT of cars trucks and bikes...all of them have given a REAL clear indication of their names within a week or two, if not immediately.

But this one....she's playing hard to get, I think...she came to me in November and I still don't know what to call her!

Gimmie a hand, TW'ers...how did YOU know your Taco's name?

Take her out off roadin... push her limits a bit. Clear your mind, don't think about it. Go get some good food after the off roadin'...and her name may come. By the way...cool Avatar! You could name her something based off the Avatar.

Not sure that "Green thing that blows shit up" is what he had in mind, though. But........then again....I could be wrong. After all, I was once before.

Or.......perhaps you could sleep in the garage or driveway beside her and decide on a name when you wake up???! (That worked for me with some of my aquaintances of the opposite sex when I was in my 20s...but the names were not always flattering)

I find myself calling it "The pile of crap in the driveway."

No kidding, and not hating on Tacomas. It's just the way things evolved.

That "green thing the blows shit up" is from an old sci-fi anime. It was known as a pod or "Regult". The bad guy drove that one in the avatar.

Thanks for letting me know! Just how "old" was the sci-fi anime? It may have been before my time! :notsure:

I've named all my cars (all 4 of them), but for some reason, I've never named my trucks, though I've had 7, including my Taco. Perhaps it is because my trucks are all male, and my cars were all female.

I know what you mean though, with in a week of acquiring my car's I knew what their names were.

named my Taco, "Tacomasito". which means 'Little Tacoma', which is fitting b/c my last three trucks were f-250 6.0 Turbo Diesel 4x4 with 6" suspension and 37" tires. each one of them. This go, just wanted something different.

I already have my guitar named, that's covered.

Close, but not quite; that avatar pic is actually a recently OK-to-use "original" or 'banned' 1st-generation Battletech design...a 75 ton heavy mech called a Marauder. It and I think 16 other drawings were squashed back in the early 80s as they were too similar to the Robotech designs that you are referring to. I've been a hardcore Battletech freak since the 80s, the MAD-3S and later redesign MAD-5R was what I always drive in my campaigns...and was my handle, back in the day.

Anyhow, it was actually OKed just last summer for public use again, as the time period had expired and the owners (whom hadn't done shit with it) actually let it slide finally.

    EDITED to add!
Wow, really? You guys never named/name your cars?

Maybe its a northwoods thing. Where I grew up, pretty much everyone named their wheels!
