I'm looking for a Tacoma 4X4 club, or just some Tacoma owners in Colorado Springs to hang out with and maybe do a little 4-wheeling this spring/summer. Anyone out there?

Do any of you go our 4x4ing, or ever just meet up with some other Tacoma owners? It would be cool to hang out with some guys who have the same interest in their trucks!

Yea, I should have sent this message out awhile ago. I'm not interested in any "serious" 4x4ing, but I know there are a lot of trails around here that would be cool with a few other folks.

Yea, Goldcamp rd, but I know there are others. I have a couple books on trails in Colorado. I haven't looked at them since last summer. I will have to take a look through there again and see what other trails are farirly close.

Definitely will! I am looking to get some new shocks before I go. Lift wise, I only have the 3" spacers on the front, but I did take it over some pretty rough terrain on the other side of Monarch pass last summer and was surpised at how well it did! We were looking for old Monarch pass and ended up on a moderatly tough trail. Then finally found OMP and made it all the way through will no problems at all. It was a cool trail!

Well money is a little tight, so nothing too fancy. Just mostly looking to replace what I currently have. The back ones are in the most need of being replaced, so I will probably just start with those. I talked to the guys at 4WheelParts and they suggested for price and quality, that the ProComp ES9000's would be my best bet. Evidently they install those on a lot of Tacomas. What did you put on yours?

Yea they charge up the ass for installation but do a good job, going to see Scotty next week to doublecheck my installation and make sure my truck's not gonna explode while driving. I put OME 9000 shocks up front ( ) with taller coils, and an add-a-leaf to the back, still running stock rear shocks, but OME makes nice rear shocks also ( ..my next upgrade i guess)..or the Bilsteins are real popular ( ) .. plus if you order from ToyTec you can get the forum discount, saved me a gas tank

Whichever ones I decide on, I will probably end up having Big O'Tires on Austin Bluffs do the work. I know the owner and manager and have been going to them for 9 years. They always take care of me up there!
