I trimmed my stockers about 6". cut em then used blue tape to trace the OEM edges. I was going to just take them off but drove through Denver a few weeks ago during the Polar Express storm(google it). Glad I left them on. When I got home there was 4" of brown road sand in the flaps. I had snow on the rockers but no sand.

Off topic, but I love driving the Taco in a blinding snow storm. Best snow vehicle ever. I kept thinking "bring it". better than an Audi.

anyone run these with 255/80/17? I assume im gonna rub on the inside where to flap is mounted to the body. Would like to keep them on since they protect my sliders from pings and needing a repaint all the time bc im OCD.

I cut like 6-8" off my rears and the fronts well they got run over a few times before I trimmed them but by then all the clips were broken and the screw holes were all ripped. When one blew off on the free way I just took the other front off

I finally lost my first flap. Now I need to decide what to do for (if) a replacement.

It seems that when you are stuck with chains already on and you winch backwards, the mudflaps panic and abandon ship...

Yeah i got a little cocky getting up my steep drive the other day with 6" of snow and only made it half way. Not wanting to give in tried gearing down to avoid slipping and slid sideways into the bank the goes up and down my drive. A few mudflap clips werent happy but overall made it out ok

My little stubby front mud flaps got chewed off by my buddy's dog, and one of the back ones was nibbled too. Just took them completely off.

i thought about taking them off, but even with the husky flaps on the front (3.5" shorter) it moved the mud flinging up to about mid front door. It actually made me speed up my nerf bar purchase so they take the beating instead of my trucks paint.

I replaced mine with weathertech mudflaps. They certainly aren't flexible like rubber would be, but they are better and cheaper than stock. Held up for a couple years now.

I drive a lot of gravel and dirt roads - I even live on a dirt road. I don't think leaving flaps off is an option. I'll probably go with cheapo ones like Door Ding

Smart move. My sliders are angled 90 degrees and filled with expanded steel and you should hear the rocks hitting them once I hit pavement and the tires throw the stones. I took my flaps off my Xterra back when I had it and tore up the rocker panels in a matter of months, bad idea trust me.

I purchased the weather techs (too hard and not enough flex) and ended up cutting them and used plastic rivets to attach cut ones that Ding has and it has been a year now. They have worked perfectly for me, YMMV of course.

I drive past O'reilley's, NAPA, Autozone and Car Quest on my daily commute. I'll look local before going online. Anyone had luck with anything from these sources? If I don't find anything decent I'll go with the EZ-Fit. Thanks guys!
