    M*th*r f*ck*r!

Before buying my 2010 Tacoma I owned an 09 Subaru WRX. I sold it because there was a huge defect that affected multiple months of production that ultimately caused complete engine failure in my vehicle.

Now I buy this Tacoma and more or less on a weekly basis something else emerges as being possibly wrong with it. Floor mats, gas pedals, rear suspension designed improperly, now the driveshaft (and I'm sure I'm missing a few things). This thing sucks almost as bad as my last Subaru. This is definitely the last new vehicle I purchase. From now on I'll shop for 5 year old vehicles; I figure if they have made it that long they are probably more likely to survive than a new one made by anyone.

    F*ck!!!

Any links to a website that lists of all of the possible defects/recalls/tsb for a 2010 Tacoma? I guess I'll schedule a service appointment and try to have them all repaired at once.

There appears to be some merit to this approach. I really should have searched around for a 2004 or earlier taco and done the solid axle swap on that. My 2009 is OK but I know I would be much happier if I had started with a gen 1 truck and done my mods to that one.

The upside to all of this (IMO) is so many eyes are on toyota, they will be producing only TOP quality vehicles when it is all said and done. (like it used to be)

I am not going to sweat it...I will be taking my 2010 in having the inspection done on the drive shaft.

No big deal. I have owned Toyota trucks since 1989 when I bought my first new 4x4 xtracab.

I believe in Toyota and they are stepping up to the plate to make things right. I am not the least bit worried and will continue to own and drive my 2010 with total confidence. JMHO...

    for what its worth....

1999 Tacoma, replaced that with my 2010 Tacoma, and will replace that with a 2025 Tacoma. (give or take a couple of years)

I just wish i would have waited about another 2 months to buy my Tacoma.

I would still have bought one, but would have SO much more ammo to beat a dealer up with to get a better price.

    Had I only known!

Tell your Father inlaw to check and see if Ford has issued a recall for the same part;)

5100's all around, fronts at 1.75". TSB leaf pack + Toytec TSB AAL
Who cares. Take your Tacoma to the dealer, let them address the problem. Then enjoy your truck for the next 250k miles. Good luck doing that with an F150.

Even with all of these recalls, I'd still buy another Tacoma (or Toyota in general). Things like this happen, and I certainly don't get the feeling Toyota is trying to get away with anything. They're getting the affected parts fixed/replaced. It's a bummer, but it'll be fine.

All of you are defending toyota like she is your little sister. Blamming an American company, all I can say if what the fuck is wrong with you. Toyota is taking it in the ass and you want to blame everyone but the name on the Vehicle it is there QC that is suckn. They need to be held accountable just like any other manufacture of vehicle or anything else for that matter. All companies do have recalls but at 8 milion plus toyota is leading by a long shot. Lets steip back and hold them to the fire and not make constant excuses for them

    Turned in my 99 TRD Taco & bought a 2010 (4 dr, 4WD, SR5) 2 wks ago
I asked the Dealer 20X if there were any issues with the 2010s
the answer was a solid No
Are there any other notices concerning the 2010s besides this prop shaft thing?
