Thumbs up Bench seat for 2nd gen bed

My girl and I go to the local drive inn movie (http://www.bengies.com/) theater allot and we back the truck up and sit in the bed and watch. The problem is that there is nothing comfortable. We tried bean bags, lawn chairs, etc... So I have some scrap wood lying around and decided to make a bench. This is how far I got. I am going to paint it black and get cushions.

cover it with foam (closed cell) and a upholstery and that would be sharp at any get together / fishing/camping/trip

I would have utilized the well notch for the back maybe

I dont think it looks to bad. I'm sure it will look a lot better once it is complete. I say got for it!! I mean if its only going to be used mostly to watch movies then you guys should be good to go. Plus you can stretch out your legs when sitting down.

Looks better than the bench I had in my 88' chevy. Can't wait to see how it looks when it was finished. Here's a suggestion how about adding a cup holder. I had one on mine it was just a wood board w/a hole in it. LOL and I would just wedge my beer/coke in there I made it in wood shop back in high school.

Use closed cell so it will not soak up water and moisture
any reupholster shop should set you up

Or the Walmart look at exercise mats or camp sleep mats

This was just a quick mount up of my old bench seat on a wooden frame. I've got a better setup now, but no pics.

It works great when we're surf fishing. Way more comfortable than any camp chair.
