I just talked to a guy named dean with the company called Helix Power Tower. He is willing to make a throttle Body Spacer and do the dyno and all the R&D. He needs someone around the Arkansas Area though. Plus he said he will need a poll of 50 or more people that are interested so lets show him !!!! If you are close the number is (501) 945-0354. Sorry post is so long but he said it would really help the 4 bangers.

ya but throttle body spacers have been proven to just whistle and suck. no ones (company) is willing to show dyno proven results for these trinkets....because they are worthless piles of scrap aluminum or whatever that would have been better off been used for something useful in this world...thats my 2 cents

true but most of these TBS actually make power and its just more air induction= more HP.

Voids warranty if it causes a problem otherwise no.

Man you guys do some research on tbs (throttle body spacer). You really think your 2.7 with 165 crank power is all of a sudden gonna gain 25 hp???

Like I said, I will through down the bones if when its made and a dyno sheet is posted with anything near 10 hp call me up otherwise this sounds so far just like a thread on tundra solutions about a new and innovative "special" throttle body spacer that him and this company were trying to sell. He kept saying wowo this thing is great along with a cold air intake they made. People kept wanting him to post pictures and dynos, still to this day (a year and a half later) no response with dyno or anything

You never know what could happen. I had a 5.8L F 150 and i put a TBS on it and the company showed a dyno for the increased HP. I agree with Oliver but you know what its worth a try! Plus this is the only company that is willing to do R&D work on it. All other companies JET, Airaid ect. will not. Hope you guys agree.

no the tornado is the same concept just another scam

I'm not trying to be mean I'm just trying to save you dissapointment :(

Adding something rresprictive to your intake tubing such as a tornado isn't gonna give you more power and 4 mpg more mileage.

Throttle bodies were originally designed for carbuerated engines allowing the fuel and air to atomisze bettwer before hitting the cylinder for better mixture and combustion

Go to the site and check it out at least. It does give explanations for the increase in power and gas mileage not trying to argue though man. The guy i talked to said he would be willing to make one for our tacos and prove it to us on the dyno. Totally cool guy and all he wants is the demand for it (50 people or more). So if it truly works then hell ya but its not going to hurt to vote yes and see what happens ya know.

like kyle said might as well just vote yes and wait till the dyno's get posted then we can make a decision....its worth a try that never hurt anyone

dont get me wrong im not looking for an arguement and i did vote yes, but proving gains will be the hard part and maybe they will make a great design!

I am also sceptical of whether it would work or not, I do not believe it could give much of a gain if any (maybe even a loss..), but I would love to see actual dyno results nevertheless.

As to the comment about these things being designed for carburetors, you rang a bell... It has been YEARS since I worked on a V8 with a carb, but if I remember correctly, wasn't there also an advantage gained with these things by insulating the carb from conducted engine heat? I don't see that being an advantage here, but maybe this guy could make his TBS out of an insulating material just in case...
