I might be buying the Trd exhaust this Friday for 445 after tax. How hard is it to install. How loud in general, at idle, wot, and 60mph. Will it be worth it, i don't expect huge performance gain but more than stock I hope. Trd is the one I want. so should I get it?

Dealer by me quoted me at $550 + tax. So it sounds like you are getting a good deal.

Don't really notice it at idle that much, you hear it at WOT. Generally not overly loud. I'm satisfied with mine. Hear it most between 2500-4000rpm. Vids aren't really great, but hopefully they help.

He could probably do better on price if he's doing it himself. Toyota's price of $550 is the price installed, not for just the exhaust.

Takes about 20 mins to instal. 2 bolts (torqued to 30 ft - lbs), and some rubber hangers. Its quiet at cruise speed, and you really only hear it when you get on it.

You can find it online for under $400, but $450 is pretty good if you can get it locally. And the install really is quite simple.

Like others said, it's not noticeable at idle or cruising, but has a nice deep sound under acceleration.

Video don't work. I've been on youtube searching video there aren't much on there. What does it come with right out the box one piece or multiple piece? Hardware? Does utilize all the stock rubber stuff and bolts?

Yes, it uses the stock bolts and hangers.

Any catback exhaust is a piece of cake to install imo. Heck, you dont even need a lift.
I'm thinking about one, just b/c I like to hear some exhaust/engine noise to make shift points more noticeable.

Save yourself the money and buy a gibson. $300 and it is very similar to the TRD in tone and interior resonance

    Too few to list.
I'm not against it but you should save your money for other things and just get yourself a muffler swap. For about $120, you can get a magnaflow put in. That will leave you money for something else.

    1 piece.

it comes unboxed with the shipping label stuck on the muffler. the tip is wrapped in cardboard.

2 bolts hold it on, and 4 hangers that you slide out. took maybe 10 minutes to change it out.

i thought about getting just a muffler put in, but i drive on the insterstate and didnt want to listen to the drone. with the trd, i have 0 on the interstate. its only noticable at low rpm IMO. full throttle sounds about the same. only time you hear it is taking off, idling, and if you are going slow around 30-40mph.

i took my girlfriend and her sister out for valentines, neither noticed it enough to ask.

Does it come with a new gasket? Is the stock gasket metal-faced? I'm wondering about damaging the gasket when the connection comes apart.
