retractable tonneau cover i.e. truck covers usa, rollbak

hey just got a new 08 tacoma and i gotta admit, it's a damn good truck. the only problem is that it's starting to rain over here, and seeing as how i have to transport equipment in my truck, i need to find a good roll a way cover for it.

i'm not to interested in the rolling vinyl/cloth cover. i was really looking for a, "water resistant," retractable cover, like the Bak RollBak or the one made from TruckCovers USA, but the price difference is pretty significant between the two. does anybody have any experience with either of these covers?

Hey Remo, I just pulled the trigger on a cover after trying to decide which system was right for me. Tough decision as there's some really cool options out there. I ended up ordering the Truxedo lo-pro. It's a rollback with a latching system that stretches the cover tight. I wanted the type you are looking at too, but the deal breaker was not being able to dump dirt/mulch into the bed as if it got into the rollup mechanism it'd ruin it - so I was warned. I also found out that it takes away from bed length (just a few inches though). I needed what ever I bought to be more functional for any type use.

My 2 cents...

Thumbs up tonneau cover

The cover I have is water tight for the most part. Only a little water leakage in the high pressure car wash. It's a tri fold and seems to work very well. got it off ebay. its in my pics

I got mine from truckchamps.com for $915. I guess the price increases since then (2 months ago) from the link you gave.
