I've got a new grille coming in that I will be having painted to match my truck. I'm going to be getting some estimates to have the grille surround painted at a couple of local body shops. So what would be a good price for having this done? Does anyone have any prices from having this done? Thanks!

You can buy a new color matched one for 175, so make sure it is less than that.

I got the new grille for next to nothing. So I've got some room to play with. A buddy of mine who works at a body shop said he figured it would run $100-125. It seemed a little high to me, but I thought I'd get some feedback from TW.

A shop quoted me 25 dollars to paint it... but I didn't do it because it was chrome and would have prob been a half ass paint job. I just bought a color matched and now my chrome one I am satoshing and painting myself. At a really good quality paint shop they quoted me 49 dollars for a pint of silver streak mica color. So I will order that and paint the grille... along with my mirrors and bumper. But I am just going to tell him to make a gallon of it.

So that was $49 just for the paint?

I've gotten a couple grilles painted ranging from 75-125 depending on how much prep work they said was needed and if it was chrome.

That thought had crossed my mind, but I figure by the time I ship it both ways and the cost for him to do it, it would be more than getting it done locally.

If you have anything else that needs to be painted now would be a good time to do it.
