Debadge it, it makes it easier to polish the panels.

blow dryer + dental floss + goo gone

just heat up the glue with the blow dryer then use the dental floss like a saw. they come right off. then, you need some goo gone to take off the remaining glue on the paint.

Either way you go, make sure you use Goo Gone...I got some from Lowes tonight and just got done with my debadging. This stuff is freaking amazing. The residue from the 3M tape came RIGHT OFF with minimal effort. Nice to see a product work as advertised

Oh, and ZERO damage to the paint/clear coat. It's like the badges were never put on!

you can use the heat gun with dental floss or if you have a length of 18 gauge insulated wire, you won't need the heat gun. they have emblem glue erasers that attach to drills, its like a big eraser in the shape of a disc, but be careful not to stay in a certain area too long or press too hard because you'll burn the paint. Goo gone finishes it up, but I'd make sure you wipe it all off. Clean your badges, with a razor blade to get all the old adhesive off, then get some 3M emblem tape(best) or double sided tape from any autoparts store and put it on the back of the emblem and trim away the excess. Take some alcohol with a papertowel and wipe down your surface you're gonna stick it too and ur good to go.

If you live anywhere near the Puget Sound area in Washington State, you WILL be inclined to remove the word "Tacoma" from your truck.

The Tacoma smell, referred to as the "Tacoma Aroma", is always present every time you drive through it.

The crime rate in Tacoma is the highest in Washington State... it's basically a dumpy cess pool of white trash and crime.

I'm not trying to flame... just giving my opinion. :)

So, I for one, will remove the word TACOMA from my truck... when I finally get one.
