I'm in the market for a used Tacoma - what are the differences between the model years? I'm guessing there had to be some tweaks along the way.

Or is there a site somewhere that spells out..
06 added this and dropped this
07 changed from xxx to yyy
08 unchanged except color of stripe in seats
    yadda yadda....

From 05-08, there wasnt many changes at. The 09-10 cosmetic wise, they have the LED tail lights, grayed out headlights and front grill, back-up camera on tailgate, and different body colors. Thats all I know so far. I have an 06' so I'm not toooooo familiar with the 09-10's. You also got to decide weither you want the Sports edition or the Off-road edition?

Very minor cosmetic changes and they tired to fix certain issues with the tsb's as the newer trucks came out...............I would suggest to maybe stay away from the 2005 and possibly 2006 models.....................

What is bhml - it appears to be painting the chrome in the headlights, but I can't make BHML work out to words - LOL...

All I know is that I want a doublecab - either prerunner or 4x4 (wouldn't be a deal breaker either way). I like the sport hood, but I don't know what else the sport package gets you, or how much it will add to the cost. I like the TRD because of the decals on the bed (shallow, I know) - I don't know the differences in wheels for different packages or anything else.

I am an extreme noob - I just know that I love the way these trucks look, and all of the reviews I have read make it sound like owning one will almost cure the common cold. I've been looking for a 4door truck of some type for a couple of months and plan to actually make a purchase in the next 2-3 weeks. I'm looking primarily at used but haven't ruled new out (although my wife might rule "new" out for me :D)

I bought a 05 Pre-Runner TRD O/R, 2 weeks ago and love it so far. I wanted a 4 door with room and decent gas mileage so went with the Taco. Im not planning on doing an Off Roading but got a good deal on this one and only has 13K miles....

Thanks yall.. I found one on a local lot that says "07 PreRunner TRD natl" - what is that natl? It's in the description like TRD is.
    Any ideas?

I'm trying to learn what all of these abbreviations are...
