I'm not sure what you mean when you ask what is clear?? I think theretrofitsource.com has info on the differences between the projectors. I never looked into it too far.

To answer for Electroman. They don't come with Halos, they can be put in before they are sealed up, but his build didn't include them. Question #2, yes there is a huge difference in retrofitted and ebay projectors. The main difference being the cutoff and light pattern. Search TW for some beam patterns of the eBay projectors, then look at Electroman's, GSak's, Yosh2000's or mine (AzogSS) writeups and you will see the difference.

 egay projectors and the FX-Rs are in two completely different classes!! yes they are both projectors, but the output shots speak for themselves, the FX-Rs blow the egay ones away!!

concerning the halos, i think those are kinda g@y, but if thats what your into...! check out this thread for a guy that puts the halos on OEM TL headlights. also, remember if your halo's fail on you, you will have to open up the headlight again to fix it.

yea, grab that $110 shipped up! if your doing a retro, i highly suggest you get a set of quality OEM headlights to start, you dont want to put in all that time on a crap set of headlights. you can black everything out. the only way to get those clear lenses is to get a set of the egay ones that come clear and salvage them out of there....thats how i got my original TL set, how 1BlkT got the ones for the retro i did for him, and thats how i got another set for my next retro.

Yep, OEM headlights off my 2008 with NO halo. The reflection you may see is the front of the gatling shrouds. Rhino's blacked out lights look awesome!, go for it! Kits can be bought at www.RetrofitSource.com, Matt can give you some pointers as he did for me.

you'll need some amp to D2S converters if you want to reuse your current ballasts. i personally would just get a new entire setup from matt, he'll cut you a deal if you do a combo. that way the harness and everything else will be setup for you, no need to mod anything else. also, i suggest you get bulbs from egay, pm me and i'll give you the guy that sells them.

Hey, I don't know where your getting your lights from, brand new for 110 is a good deal though, but I might be selling my extra set of OEM BHLM lights if your interested. You could use these for an extra set to do a retro, and use the same paint I did, or just go over the entire assembly with whatever paint you want to use. Let me know if your interested.

D2S is the only kind of bulb that will fit in the projectors you're looking at. Just think of it as another size like H1, H7, etc... and as stated above if you plan on using your existing ballasts you need the adapter that converts the D2S bulb size to your ballast size

ya so if its gonna be easier to get new ballasts and bulbs thats really all that come in a hid kit anyways right? I should just sell my stock hid kit.
Does anyone know what the wattage is of the bulbs?
Are the colors pretty much the same like 6000k is white with just a hint of blue?

eh, the adapters are free. i chose to keep and re-use my ballasts. the kits we're talking about here are 100% custom. you tell matt what you want, doesn't matter what it is, he'll put it together and tack on the discount. for example I already have ballasts from my current setup like yourself so I just got the projectors, bulbs, a harness (never got one with my old setup) and the adapters.

the bulbs are here..the kelvin temp is the same as all other HID bulbs
