With good projectors such as the FX R, I went with the 4300k. It has a blue hue, gives the best light in all weather conditions, and has good color spectrum during flicker.

yea, like i said, it would be much easier to just sell your kit complete, as the only thing you would be able to reuse is possibly the ballasts...

the ballasts are 35w. you can get 55w ballasts and use the phillips bulbs, but they will not last as long since you would be overdriving them. 35w is just fine w/ the FX-Rs, no real need to do the 55w ballasts.

w/ new 85122 bulbs you will have ~4300, but they will colorshift to ~5000k after about 100 hours. you can spend like $200 for some 5000K phillips bulbs, but i dont really think its worth it IMO. the 85122 bulbs will also give you the best lumens on the road as well, so why worry about color.

the only reason i was worried about color is because i have the 55w slim 6000k in my fogs and i didnt know how it would look mismatching them.
Whos the ebay guy u got ur bulbs from yosh?

I have 6000K fogs. I don't know what it looks like from down the road, but the lights blend together looking from the drivers seat.

Also interested in the link for the D2S bulbs, for future reference.

click on the ballast area, you need the AMP/D2S adapter. this will be free in your kit. and you need the low-beam harness, H7. don't email yet, i'm still waiting on the exact discount we're getting. we will most likely get the go-ahead on monday.

Best thing to do is call Matt and let him give you your options, that is what I did.

I just cut a hole in the housing, and the projector sits in there, I had to have them angled down a little anyway since I'm up in the air more than most.
