Beautiful!! I love regular cab Tacos, they look the way God intended a truck to look IMHO. I like the way a black grill-guard looks on them. I wanted black nerfs on mine too, but can't find any, seems that nobody makes them for a regular cab. Somewhere I read that only 5-7% of 2nd Gen. Tacos are regular cabs which I find unbelievable, but my general observations would seem to bear it out, I don't see many on the road compared to the extras and doubles.

The regular cab gets my vote for best shape. As much as I like my access cab sometimes it just doesn't look quite right and I ocassionally think the double cabs look like SUVs with a bed screwed onto the back as an afterthought..... I think that right about now I should duck.

I love my regular cab, it just feels right. I think it looks good and it's the perfect size for the wife and I. I made a mistake 18 months ago and sold my 93 reg cab 4x4. I rectified that mistake with this truck and don't think I'll be selling this anytime soon.

Nice Truck. Regular Cab is the way to go if you don't need the space of extended or double cabs. My wife and I love ours - (MINE!).

Mods/add-ons:

Fog Lights - I like the way the OEM style makes it look from the front (no cup holder inserts). Check out the DYI OEM Fog Light install I posted for a OEM look.

Cruise Ctrl. - Easy DYI mod for OEM cruise for only $112.

Rear Speakers in a Regular Cab (see DYI posting) greatly improves sound.

I use my truck work and play, and playing at work, umm Shes is on trails almost daily even at stock all though I take it easy, and most my job sites are backfilled sand pits, so I have my fun out there! And my budget is pretty much as much as I wish to save up and spend on her! I figure around $2-3 For Tires 285/75/17, Steel Rims, And A Small lift kit 2-3 inches with new suspension. I'm not much interested in intakes and what not, I will get aftermarket exhaust just cause I dont like the way this one sounds, makes my engine sound like what it is, a 4 cyl. The fog lights are a must, but I will pass on cruise control, I had it in my 2004 f150 and never used it. Will also get new coil packs, wiring, distributor etc. All the other visual stuff, bull bar, grill, tint, etc are secondary

Nice truck bro! I think the reg cabs bring back that Utilitarian look for all of us. Compact and kick ass.

You should look into just getting new coilovers. Brands such as Saw A Way (AKA SAW), Icon, Camburg, and Fox are great companies. A Coilover is the best way to lift your truck and you will get the best ride possible.

Tires I would suggest BFG A/T or Nitto Terra Grappler.

Wheels are all a matter of taste. I personally think your truck would look great with some black wheels (Procomp 7089). Check out this thread on Toyota Nation. Its all regular cabs so hopefully you can get some wheel ideas.

Same boat brother ....... I am secure enough to know I also don't need something (4WD) if I am not going to use it ...... it's been said, "This isn't a truck, it is only 2WD." Wrong!

Nice truck,
Regular cab is as a truck should look, but they are becoming fewer and fewer these days unfortunately.
