I took a broken one from work drilled and tapped it and put a small threaded stud in it and it works great. I cut it down to 12 inches. I just have to paint it black.

Looks GREAT!! how is the reception? I live quite rural so I have been hesitant, but I would really like to exchange for one like that, even a little taller would be OK, Doc

LOL, i thought you said it was cheap, they want almost $30 shipped. Anyways that looks awesome and I wish mine looked that good, but then again mine only cost $8. However in hindsight I would have bought yours since it looks so nice.

I have the same antenna and love the look however reception is now spotty. I rarely listen to regular radio as I listen to my CDs or I don't turn on radio at all. Looks great OP.

that's a little ass antenna. Well now that you got your antenna out and under the way, your cab is too tall now to clear anything that your antenna will.

Apparently the best mod was using the antenna from the Scion TC. It is only 16" long and has to be slightly modified but looks the best. Search it here for pics that I posted a little while ago.

Interesting, am i the only one who uses their antenna as a feeler gauge to how close they are to hitting overhead beams in parking garages?
