Auto or manual?

What do you guys drive? auto or manual?

I drive manual.

 

Stick...LOve it.

 

My 2010 is an automatic. I like shifting gears but not when I am on the highway going or coming from work and dealing with traffic jams on the highway. Plus it's nice to jump in drink a coffee and just cruise.

 

I like the manual but the automatic is a little smoother shifting. The manual is a little different to shift. Took me a while to figure it out. But I wouldnt trade it for an automatic. Since My GF has the automatic so I can drive it when I want and she drives my Stick

Both! hah. The taco is Manual, M3 is SMG and S10 is auto. I think I covered all the bases w/ the three vehicles

 

4 cylinders must be stick, but the V6 has the power for auto although stick is funner..

 

I had a new 06 six speed that shifted well but always sounded like the U joint was ready to go. Got rid of it for an automatic. I have been driving for thirty some years and most of that was a stick so for those who want to tell me I dont know how to drive a stick .

 

stick, just because I like to have full control of my truck. autos can get annoying shifting up or down when you dont want it to. or when you go to hammer her down is there is a.............. delay.

 

Really? I haven't noticed that.I've been driving a stick for the last 180000 miles and I'm sick of it.With the newer autos control is no problem at all.

Love driving stick.. every vehicle i've had (except for the camry) has been a stick. I have dahtsun pick-up at my grandparents in costa rica thats a stick and my taco is a stick

 

I have a stick but I wouldnt hesitate to get a auto

 

I love driving a stick, but this truck came with a auto.
I dont mind for one reason - Auto starter

never owned an automatic. ive bought some vehicles to resell that were autos but never drove one as a daily driver except when my GMC was at the dealership for repairs....which was OFTEN....hence the Toyota purchase
if the throttle sticks, i know i know too soon.....i can just push the clutch pedal in and be safe or i could turn the key off too....but i like the better control of a stick shift. The best is when i had an Isuzu Rodeo V6 5 spd, some twat in a Jaguar with a clip board in one hand, resting on the steering wheel, writing something with the other while holding the cellphone with her cheek, NOT paying attention to traffic....well, 5th to 2nd came up in traffic and i dumped the clutch slow enough to go from 50 to 20 without locking the tires. no brake lights to show her i was slowing, all i saw was the phone and note pad go flying, her grabbing the steering wheel with BOTH hands and slamming on the brakes as her Starsmucks coffee hit the windshield. she stopped in time but it was worth every chance of getting hit. it was a lifted 4x4 rodeo trail pig so i was good to go. 6 Speed man...that's all I've ever had. Actually I think I've only driven a 5 speed once in my whole life
