Fram locking gas cap '08 fitment question

    I found a locking Fram gas cap on clearance a while back. I have an '08 which is I guess different than the other years as far as the threading of the gas cap (non-threaded)?

    My question is, it fits, it locks, as long as my check engine light does not turn on I am good right? I don't want condensation or anything in my gas tank.
