    Thats too bad they don't mount to the frame. I'd be nervous with them taking a hit mounted to the body. But they do look really nice.

    maybe that is why they are half the price?

    i want functional ones that really ride up close to the body..i'll powdercoat, or paint them body color.

    Exactly. I'm only using them for steps and door ding protection. The hardest trails my truck will see are groomed trails.
