OK, how can I get one of these 10's if the model code isn't available in my 5 state region? 2011 doesn't even come with prerunner 5 speed 4cyl with buckets according to the sales "person" I talked to. Figures. I don't wanna eat the wet okoles going to a bench and don't want auto and can't even get regular cab 4x4 with 4cyl 5 speed & buckets. Guess it's fixin to be the big.....fuck it, I'll keep what I have. You'd think sales people would wanna do some shit to sell some shit but all I ever hear is can't get that, don't make that, lame shit. What dealer can find me one in another market or even let me order what I want? Sucks balls. Got trades, got cash, got credit & still can't buy what I want how I want it.......stupid.

 

haha yeah. or you could troll cars.com. any 05-08 sr5 has a chance to have buckets and be a 4x4 4cyl with 5 speed. i feel your pain haha

Don't feel like selling my 2 vehicles and being without one to have cash enough to be chasing this shit around the country dammit. Looks like the closest I can get is to go 4X4 and be lucky to actually get a color besides white, then have to hit junk yard to get seats and console to make my own. I don't wanna but if it comes to that then well, I might. I STILL WANT PRERUNNER THO.......for the 5 extra mpg vs. 4X4. No, I don't wanna start with regular cab 2wd and make a prerunner either. It's retarded, like I'm tryin to buy one from another country. Might as well be tryin to get them to bring me a hilux over from Australia. Stupid, they sell it in other parts of THIS country and I tell them if they get this particular truck here I will buy it now AND PAY IT OFF. WTF?????????????? Just sucks........

 

No base model overhead consoles with garage door cubby, sunglasses cubby and map lights in any reg cabs?

There are none of these available in TX 5 state region. You'd think they would be able to transfer but they aren't actin like it. I've asked several already and they act like I did ask them about a hilux from overseas. Just really lame shit not seeming to care about a sale thing so far........and in the middle of Toyotathon no less. It's been this is what we got and all about what they cannot do and what I can't have so far. Pretty much thinkin it's gonna be 4wd auto to get buckets in a reg cab and 500 dep to secure a pyrite one without chasing all over. That's as far as I've gotten other than one dealer that even worked with me on getting the color I want saying they'd be willing to swap over my 5100s, AALs, UCAs & keep my tire/wheel combo.....at an extra cost no doubt........still pondering all this and sleepin on it.

 

.............and I'm back to........fuck it. Don't want automatic, scared of sudden acceleration (not). It'll only be 3 mpg better than what I have, can't deal with the lack of room after sittin in one, too much money for the makin due & people don't care about sellin me want I really wanted so just fuck it. The wife was even givin me the go ahead. Damn if I wouldn't dig on a pyrite regular cab 5 speed 4 cyl prerunner tho. Maybe down the road.......3rd gen.

Dunno about the 2010 where you are but the only way for me in TX to get buckets in a reg cab is the 2011 4x4 with auto. No reg cab 2010 prerunners for TX and no reg cab prerunners at all in 2011 from what I've found. I just don't believe all the dealers around here acted like I was trying to get a diesel hilux from Australia when all I wanted was them to have a reg cab 5 speed 2.7l with buckets prerunner from midwest or anywhere else that has them shipped down here. Didn't think it was that crazy of a request. Woulda paid a deposit to get it here. Woulda had trades and paid off balance on the spot and nobody would play. I just decided that it wasn't worth it at this point to fuck with it. The lameness on dealers' part during Toyotathon was somewhat surprising and helped me make up my mind to just not do it. Headache averted, keepin the 05 AC.

 

Not fair, does NOT make any sense to not sell every body style available to the US market in every part of the US. I didn't say have every body style stocked everywhere, available for purchase is different story tho. Hardasses/dumbasses lost a sale but I wanted one more than I need it I suppose. I agree with the general BS over the reg cab taco platform. especially in 4x4, as I think it is made in only one factory in the US (not pos). Common Tacoma Marketing Dept! do you guys even read all this great free info on this site? polls, opinions, everything for free! I bet they pay millions a year for info we put on TW for nothing.lol

I know I got my truck from a dealer lot some 600 miles from Iowa, b/c i played two dealers against each other when I found out it was the same truck from the same place.

Maybe b/c of toyotathon they r just doing fast and easy sales to maximize profit. I would just stick with it. I didnt get to see my truck for 3wks after I ordered it. But is was happy when i did.

 

Agreed!!!! I couldn't get mine in Idaho so I ordered it through Salt Lake City. Had to wait two months I just kept staring at Idaho Salesmen thinking WTF!!! They make these pickups right? But I can't get one???
I didn't want to budge so I finally got mine but why Toyota does this is beyond me. Some guys might have gone down the road and bought some other brand of pickup.

 

Oh, if I didn't already have a perfectly good access cab I'd have different and more beligerant attitude about it..........if that's even possible, lol...........it was oddly satisfying in some twisted way to go into dealerships telling them exactly what I wanted, knowing more than the sales people did about them, giving them crap about this nonsense regional crap & just walking on out because I didn't want to settle. Guess it's more fun and doable when you aren't actually in NEED of another vehicle.

 

I loved taking my prerunner to my local dealer and seeing the salesman who was saying "you'll never get a pickup like that" haha
